SALISBURY, Md. – The Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that occurred Saturday afternoon.

Around 4:20 p.m., deputies responded to the 500 block of North Curlew Road in Salisbury for reports of a shooting. At the scene, they discovered a woman suffering from several gunshot wounds. Deputies were able to perform lifesaving measures until paramedics arrived, transporting the victim to Tidal Health.

Police say the victim’s condition is stable, although his life is in danger.

Deputies and detectives identified Dequan Maurice Bratten as the suspect in the shooting. An arrest warrant has been issued for the 32-year-old Salisbury resident.
