Frost advisory issued for Monday morning

Derrah Getter’s First Warning Forecast

Temperatures in the 30s and 40s are expected this evening. We’re off to a cold start Monday with parts of the east coast and peninsulas under a frost advisory from 2 a.m. to 9 a.m. High temperatures are expected to reach the mid 60s in the afternoon.

The rest of the week will be warmer. High temperatures Wednesday reach the upper 70s and a few locations could reach the low 80s. Halloween Thursday will feature mostly sunny skies with high temperatures near 80 degrees.

Chances of rain are expected until Friday. A cold front is approaching, increasing cloud cover. A few isolated showers will be possible Friday and Saturday. Cooler temperatures will arrive over the coming weekend.

Tropical Update
10/27/24, 7 p.m.:
An area of ​​low pressure is expected to form in the southwest Caribbean Sea over the next few days. A tropical depression could form at the end of the week. There is a 40% chance of formation in the next 7 days.
