Prince Harry’s concerns about his safety appear to have some truth, as Prince William and his family face a major threat in their homes.

Prince William lives in Adelaide Cottage, which is “just around the corner” and “still within the grounds” of Windsor Castle, with his wife, Kate Middleton, and their three children.

The family were threatened on Sunday after two masked men invaded Windsor Castle to steal agricultural vehicles from the property. According to The Sun reports, although security alarms were in place, the burglary was only discovered when the masked men came out and kicked down the door, which William and his family often use.

The incident comes just weeks after royal biographer Robert Hardman revealed in his book that Prince Harry felt “safer in a hotel” than in the royal residence during his visit to the UK.

“The King and his team were, however, well aware of Prince Harry’s travel plans, to the extent that the monarch had even offered his son accommodation at Buckingham Palace,” the extract reads.

Meanwhile, sources close to the Sussex clan have said that “Accommodation at the Palace would, by definition, be in a prestigious location and that, without appropriate ‘security measures’, it would be safer to stay in an anonymous hotel.”

Hardman cited a member of the king’s staff, who said Harry had “chosen to stay in a hotel instead” and that it was for “security reasons.”

“I’m not sure you could find a safer place than the Palace.” Maybe he was worried about the mice,” staff said of Harry’s claims.

However, The Sun The report suggested that the fence which was broken by the thieves had “had to be replaced as it was so badly damaged”.

The theft also took place after Windsor Castle decided to remove armed guards from two public entrances, but armed police are believed to still be patrolling the grounds.

Prince Harry, who has been traveling alone since 2022 in the United Kingdom, expressed the feeling that his security was not enough to protect his wife, Meghan Markle, and his two children.

“It’s always dangerous, and all it takes is one actor… whether it’s a knife or acid, whatever it is, and those are things that really concern me.” , Harry said previously. ITV in an interview.

The Duke of Sussex is currently fighting his security case against the British government in a legal battle expected to resume in January 2025.
