Succession star Jeremy Strong looked almost unrecognizable as he attended the Governors Awards at Ovation Hollywood’s Ray Dolby Ballroom on Sunday.

The 45-year-old award-winning actor, best known for his role as Kendall Roy on the HBO series, debuted a new clean-shaven look and darker locks.

Jeremy ditched his memorable mustache and usual stubble as he hit the red carpet in a smart pale green suit which he wore over a crisp white shirt.

He also showcased darker hair instead of salt and pepper locks, which he had transformed into a quiff just a few weeks ago.

Jeremy was reunited at the star-studded bash with his former co-star Kieran Culkin, 42, who played his brother Roman Roy.

Kieran attracted attention in a bejeweled tuxedo and put on a very lively display as he posed up a storm ahead of the ceremony.

It comes after Jeremy revealed his role in Succession had a worrying long-term impact on his mental health.

The actor explained that he sometimes “loses touch with joy” when reflecting on his role on the Emmy-winning hit series.

“It fucked me up,” he admitted in a recent interview with Sunday time before adding that “he doesn’t miss it”.

Since leaving the role, the Golden Globe winner – who was previously criticized by his on-screen father Brian Cox for his relentless method of acting – said he has found “joy” in his life.

“I attended a silent meditation retreat last week,” he continued. “I really needed it.”

He explained: “There is so much noise and commotion now. I have opportunities I never imagined.

Jeremy also shared how beneficial the silent retreat has been to his life and well-being.

“I rediscovered the game,” he says. “I sometimes lost touch with joy.”

The actor – who is known for being a dedicated method actor – was previously “overwhelmed” by his role as Kendall, the wounded black sheep of the Roy dynasty.

During his conversation, he admitted how relieved he was to leave the role and the series behind him.

Because unlike his co-stars, he didn’t leave his character on set and continued to play Kendall even when he was off camera and off screen.

He previously told the outlet that he would imagine terrible things happening in his own life to mentally prepare for the role, which ultimately took a toll on his mental health.

Now, he said that while the estate was a “gift,” he’s happy to no longer have to “carry Kendall’s fight” and to “not miss it.”

“Look, this show was an incalculable gift,” Strong said of Succession finally leaving his character behind. ‘The material for a banquet. So I miss it.

He continued: “But Kendall’s fight was hard to fight for seven years. And there is so much more I want to do.

When asked if he would reprise the role for a spin-off if the opportunity arose, he shut it down.

“It’s not something I want to do any longer,” he said. “I am aware that this is one of the main chapters of my life, but I do not miss it.”
