Acting tough against roadside stall owners, Koregaon Park police on Friday filed two FIRs against two persons for illegally using LPG gas cylinders in their roadside eateries.

According to the police, the two roadside restaurants were found using gas cylinders in the open, thereby compromising the safety of citizens, especially pedestrians, leading to the crackdown.

The police invoked section 287 of the BNS (Negligent conduct in relation to fire or combustible materials) against the accused.
