As people continue to speculate about the release date of the next trailer, a thread highlights all the breadcrumbs regarding GTA6 In GTA 5 – but not all of them are convincing.

After almost a year of silence from Rockstar on GTA 6, continuation the first trailer, some fans think we’ll see new footage in the coming weeks.

Theories surrounding GTA 6 trailers have a way of seeming like copium from hungry fans (the latest is based on moon cycles in screenshots, for example), but Rockstar has a habit of leaving little teases in its games, to stir up speculation.

A fan posted a thread highlighting what he thinks are all the clues hinting at GTA 6 that have been hidden in GTA 5 over the years, and some of them seem genuine.

As indicated by User X @that1detectiv3which regularly posts updates on GTA 6 and other Rockstar games, the thread encompasses many little Easter eggs over the years. One of the first was Cayo Perico Heist in 2020 in GTA Online, which featured coordinates that, when entered into Google Maps, show a desert road in the shape of a “VI”.

Another key element is a T-shirt released in GTA Online in June 2023 titled “One Day Will Reveal All”, which featured the numbers 12523. In US format, these numbers, whether coincidentally or not, turned out to be the date of the first GTA 6 trailer.

Some examples, however, seem thin – like a Downtown Cab Co. shirt having a city in the background that appears to be Vice City, not Los Santos, which was added to GTA Online earlier this year.

They also point out several general references to the word “Vice” in GTA 5 on posters and illustrations, which they interpret as a throwback to Vice City.

This would mean that Rockstar has been teasing GTA 6 since GTA 5 launched in 2013, which seems very unlikely, so these are probably just callbacks to 2002’s GTA: Vice City on PlayStation 2.

Whether you believe much of it or not, it’s a fun, deep dive for anyone desperate for GTA 6, which is scheduled for release in the fall of next year.
