RUSSIA has been forced to admit it was hit overnight by Ukraine with US ATACMS missiles – as the UK blasted “depraved” despot Vladimir Putin.

Just days after the United States approved Ukraine’s use of its long-range rockets – Kyiv forces used them to bomb a military depot storage of ammunition and anti-aircraft missiles.

It was the first time that Kyiv, under siege, was able to launch ballistic rockets on Russian soil – as the world today marks 1,000 days of Putin’s bloody and illegal war.

Reports surfaced Tuesday morning about the missile strike, with a Ukrainian defense source telling RBC that it had indeed used ATACMS rockets.

The Russian Defense Ministry later confirmed this information, saying that US-supplied missiles had been used to target Bryasnk’s munitions arsenal.

Fragments of one of the damaged rockets landed on the “technical territory” of the military installation and started a fire, Russia reluctantly admitted.

The top brass claimed to have managed to shoot down five and damage one more.

News of the strike arrived just hours later Vladimir Putin gives the green light to a new nuclear doctrinein retaliation for new missile authorizations granted to Ukraine.

He equated Ukraine’s use of Western weapons with an act of aggression by the allied countries that supplied it with weapons.

The Kremlin said it marked the crossing of a red line, officially putting nuclear retaliation on the table.

Downing Street today slammed the Russian government over the new threat of World War III – with a spokesperson for Starmer saying: “It would be fair to say this is the latest example of irresponsibility we have seen from from the depraved Russian government.

“We remain steadfast in our support for Ukraine and in defending against an illegal invasion, and we have always said that the defense of the United Kingdom begins in Ukraine.”

The United States approved a decision on Sunday authorizing Ukraine to fire US ATACMS rockets into Russia for the first time in almost three years of war.

A Ukrainian defense source told RBC: “Indeed, ATACMS was used for the first time to strike the territory of the Russian Federation.

“The attack was carried out on an installation in the Bryansk region, it was successfully destroyed.”

Karachev is approximately 130 km from the Ukrainian border.

Ukrainian media outlet Censor said around a dozen explosions occurred during the nighttime strike.

Ukraine later confirmed that the warehouse they struck stored North Korean munitions and anti-aircraft missiles, via official Andriy Kovalenko on Telegram.

It follows reports that Kim Jong-Un, Putin’s ally and despot, prepares to send 100,000 troops to help him in his brutal war.

Mad Vlad remained angry when US President Joe Biden finally approved Ukraine’s use of long-range rockets on Sunday.

His puppet, Peskov, vowed this morning that the use of non-nuclear Western missiles by Ukrainian armies could trigger a nuclear response.

Russia has issued countless similar threats in the past, citing fears of possible nuclear escalation in the West.

Peskov said the new policy “concerns the fact that the Russian Federation reserves the right to use nuclear weapons in the event of aggression with the use of conventional weapons against it.”

When asked if the new policy meant that Russia considered the long-range missile launches to be an attack carried out by a non-nuclear state (Ukraine) with the support of a nuclear state (the United States) – and provoked the possibility of Russia using nuclear weapons in response -, Peskov responded. “Yes, that’s what it’s about.”

Former Russian President and Putin’s right-hand man Dmitry Medvedev said of the updated nuclear policy: “The use of Alliance missiles in this way can now be called an attack by the bloc countries against the Russia.

“In this case, the right appears to launch a retaliatory strike with weapons of mass destruction on kyiv and key NATO facilities, wherever they are.

“And it’s already World War III.”

Asked this morning about the embarrassing security failure in Bryansk, he said of the ATACMS missile: “I don’t have that information.

“But I have no doubt that our military has the situation under control.”

The decision to relax missile authorizations followed “one of the biggest” air attacks of the war in Ukraine so far with 120 missiles and 90 drones fired by Russia.

This brings Britain’s Storm Shadow and France’s SCALP missiles into play, increasing pressure on Ukraine’s other Western allies to follow the US lead.

Andrey Gurulev, a Russian army reservist general, MP and pro-Putin television propagandist, has warned of a large-scale nuclear strike against Britain.

“Some individual targets may be hit by…demonstrative warning strikes,” he said.

“The first candidate to receive a nuclear baton… is the United Kingdom. »

He also said: “If anyone wants to launch ATACMS, SCALP, Storm Shadow missiles… there will be virtually nothing left of America trying to drag us into escalation. »

As the world marks 100 days of war in Ukraine on Tuesday, Putin’s puppet Vasily Nebenzya told the Security Council that the use of Western missiles in Russia amounted to “suicidal strikes.”

He urged Britain and France to rethink their situation.

“Maybe Joe Biden himself, for many reasons, has nothing to lose,” he said.
