Sittingbourne: Cancer man aged 15 and 18 raises awareness

Before a diagnosis, Mr Taylor said he returned to his GP several times.

After choking on a lamb he couldn’t swallow, he returned to his doctor and was rushed to Medway Hospital where they discovered a large tumor in his windpipe and chest, which s It was spread to the liver, kidneys and spleen.

Mr Taylor completed treatment in 2016 after chemotherapy and surgery, but in 2019 his symptoms returned and he was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome, a type of cancer that occurs when the bone marrow does not produce blood cells healthy.

He is now trying to educate young people about the symptoms of cancer.
