Liverpool fan Abigail Rudkin says head coach Arne Slot has “restored confidence” to fans after a near-perfect start to the season.

“Losing Jurgen Klopp was a big change, so I didn’t expect things to go so well so quickly,” Rudkin told BBC Radio Merseyside.

“It makes you think of what we are capable of this season as we head into Christmas at the top of the table.

“It feels fresh and new and it has given many of us a new confidence. Many of us probably lost that belief when we were thinking about the impact of the transition.

“The players seem to be finding their spark again and enjoying playing under Slot. It’s a surprisingly happy place at the moment for Liverpool.”
