Ben Affleck Calls Ex Jennifer Lopez ‘Spectacular’ in New Movie ‘Unstoppable’

Ben Affleck has a lot of praise for his ex Jennifer Lopez‘s work in a new film he produced.

Affleck, 52, answered a question about the upcoming wrestling biopic Unstoppablewhich stars Lopez, 55, while he, Cillian Murphy And Matt Damon spoken with Entertainment tonight about a separate film the group worked on, Little things like these.

“Jennifer is spectacular,” Affleck said of her performance in the film, while discussing the similarities between Little things like these And Unstoppablewhich he and Damon worked on as producers through their production company Artist Equity.

Unstoppable is a very different movie than this one, but in a way it’s also rooted in the passion of really talented artists, and (director) Billy Goldenberg and Jennifer and Don Cheadle And Jharrel (Jerome) And Bobby Cannavalewho were all really passionate about this film,” Affleck said, adding that everyone involved got to know what the film was about. “It kind of speaks to a certain kind of thing, I guess, that appeals to us, which is that we really believe in the power of storytelling when the people involved are deeply emotionally connected to the story,” Affleck added.

Unstoppable premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September, just over two weeks after Lopez filed for divorce Affleck on August 20. Lopez and Damon appeared in Toronto to promote the film at the festival while Affleck stayed in Los Angeles.

Little things like thesemeanwhile, is adapted from the 2022 novel by Claire Keegan and stars Academy Award winner Murphy, 48, as star and producer.

Unstoppable follows the real-life story of Robles, 36, a wrestler born with one leg who won an individual NCAA national championship in 2011. The film is adapted by screenwriters Eric Champnella, Alex Harris and John Hindman from Robles’ memoir 2012. Unstoppable: From Underdog to Undefeated: How I Became Champion.

“It’s another one that we’re really, really proud of, and I think if there’s some sort of key to the success that we’ve had so far, and I feel it already, even though Little things like these hasn’t opened yet, it’s just a huge hit for us because of how beautiful it is,” Affleck said. AND. “We had confidence in the right people and Unstoppable is another example.”

Unstoppable is in theaters December 6; Little things like these releases November 8.
