LIVINGSTON PARISH, La. (WAFB) – Louisiana State Police and the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office are asking the public for help finding a missing 10-year-old boy from Denham Springs.

According to authorities, 10-year-old Brody Sturdivant was last seen Sunday evening, October 27. Sheriff Jason Ard said the child left his home on Eastover Boulevard around 7 p.m. and had not yet returned home.

“We are working with his family and neighbors to locate him,” Ard said. “You’ll see us around the area.”

In an update posted to social media, the sheriff says they searched the woods all night. He added that they have drones but are waiting for the fog to clear to get additional help from air support.

Officials described Sturdivant as 4’8″, weighing approximately 100 pounds, with brown eyes and red hair. He was last seen wearing red shorts, with no shoes or shirt.

According to LSP, family members say the child is exhibiting behaviors consistent with a developmental problem that may require specialized care.
