After a hard-fought campaign was described in apocalyptic terms by both parties – as the end of the United States, as the end of democracy – it ended with a historic result: Donald Trump will become the 47th president of the United States. Thousands of SEPTA union workers will remain on the job Friday as they continue negotiations with the transit agency.
