With Brian Herzlinger at the helm, Lifetime’s “Christmas at Plumhill Manor” is a romantic drama film which centers on an emerging New York-based modern architect, Margot Stone, whose organized life is turned upside down when she learns that she has inherited an old mansion from one of her great-aunts in the sleepy English town of Plumhill . . For Christmas, even though she crosses the pond hesitantly, the town’s rich history and Christmas traditions make her feel right at home.

In addition to realizing that the inherited property can be commercially redeveloped, she also unexpectedly finds love, making her vacation full of magic. The history of healthy Christmas movie is set in the fictional town with the picturesque and green setting of the British countryside, making the production more appealing and intriguing.

Where was Christmas at Plumhill Manor filmed?

“Christmas at Plumhill Manor” was filmed entirely in England, notably in Suffolk and Chester. Principal photography on the Lifetime film reportedly began in May 2024 and continued for a few weeks before wrapping in June of the same year. In conversation with Dateline, Maria Menounos declared“It was magical to shoot on location, in the English countryside. This casting was truly incredible. And what a pleasure to add a little historical mystery to the joy of the holidays, and with a touch of suspense.

Suffolk, England

Most of the crucial sequences in “Christmas at Plumhill Manor” were filmed in the ceremonial county of Suffolk, located in the east of England. The production team set up shop across Suffolk in different streets and neighborhoods to film scenes in suitable locations. For example, they took over Endeavor House at 8 Russell Road in and around the port town of Ipswich to record key parts of the production. In reality, it serves as the meeting place and office of Suffolk County Council.

Another important establishment which hosted the production of the romantic film is Crow’s Hall in Debenham, near Stowmarket. Considered one of the UK’s finest and most exclusive wedding and events venues, Crow’s Hall was transformed into a film set for a few weeks to incorporate some of the interior and exterior sequences for the film. In addition to “Christmas at Plumhill Manor,” the ceremonial county has served as the filming site for numerous films, including “With Suffolk Love,” “Halfway to Heaven,” “The Haunted Hotel” and ” Iris.”

Chester, England

The cathedral city of Chester also became a filming destination for ‘Christmas at Plumhill Manor’, as the production team used several locations in the Cheshire county town. During filming, the cast and crew were reportedly spotted by several onlookers in and around the Eastgate Clock, located on Eastgate Street. Several exterior shots are also said to have been recorded on the main streets of Chester, with Chester Rows as a backdrop.

Christmas Cast at Plumhill Manor

In “Christmas at Plumhill Manor,” Maria Menounos takes on the role of ambitious architect Margot Stone. You may recognize the actress from her work on “One Tree Hill” as Emily Chambers AKA Jules, “Kickin’ It Old Skool” as Jennifer. Interestingly, Maria makes an appearance in several shows, such as “The Pentaverate”, “Entourage” and “The Mindy Project.’ Best known for hosting Extra and E! News, she also worked as a correspondent for “Access Hollywood” and “Today.”

Kyle Pryor essays the character of Margot’s romantic interest, Alfie Bailey. Her popular film and television credits include “Home and Away”, “Hollyoaks”, “Funny Woman”, “Spartacus» and “Find joy”. The Lifetime film stars Caroline Colomei as Jackie Bonohnan, while Stewart Alexander plays Mr. Calvaux. David Shaw Parker takes on the role of Thomas. Additionally, Tim Bartholomew appears as James Wright and Eke Chukwu plays John Mills in the Christmas-themed production.

The film also boasts a talented supporting cast, including Dominic Andersen as Daniel, Tom Bennett as Citizen of Plumhill, Matilda Flower as Beatrice, Joseph Millson as Nick, Sunny Ormonde as as Mrs. Hughes and Carol Royle as Loraine. AJ Deane and Henry William Galpin may be considered associates of Mr. Calvaux.
