The biggest evening of country music promises to be full of laughter thanks to the entertainment trio composed of Luke Bryan, Peyton Manning And Lainey Wilson.

With only a week until 2024 AMC Awards will take place live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, PEOPLE can exclusively premiere a video featurette of veteran hosts Bryan and Manning bond with Wilson for the first time.

The video begins with the band sharing a few laughs as they pose for photos, and Bryan explains, “It’s our first day together, so we’re starting to feel the energy that we’re going to be able to bring to the stage the night of the presentation of the CMA Awards.

Manning then jokes that Wilson – who made history at last year’s ceremony when she became the only artist to have topped the nominations during her first two participations in the ballot – “spent as much time on stage” as he and Bryan, which makes his new hosting duties “suitable.”

“I feel like these guys don’t take themselves too seriously, and that’s what I want. I just want us to go up there and have fun and give each other a hard time,” said Wilson, who won the inaugural Artist of the Year award in 2023.

After Manning adds that it was a “thrill” to be a part of the event, being a “huge country music fan,” Bryan reveals his favorite part about being a host.

“You sit front row as a performer at the awards and hopefully you win, and then to be on stage, sort of the emcee, it’s an incredible hill to climb,” says -he.

Wilson adds that the event has become a “country music family reunion.”

“A lot of these people who are nominated and winning are people who have helped me along my journey. It’s just a great time to celebrate each other,” she says.

The 58th edition of the CMA Awards nominees include Morgan Wallenwho leads the pack with seven nods, Chris Stapleton And Cody Johnsonwho both earned five nominations, and Wilson and Post Malonewho each received four nominations.

In addition to hosting, Wilson and Bryan are also part of a long list of artists who understands Dierks BentleySierra Hull, Bronwyn Keith-Hynes, Ashley McBrydePost Malone, Shaboozey, Chris Stapleton, Teddy swims, Thomas Rhett, and Molly Tuttle.
