A new Emmerdale star looked far away from her role on the soap as she stripped down to a bikini for a scandalous role in a horror film she starred in before her recent fame.

Newcomer Georgia Jay, who plays Stephanie Milligan in Emmerdale, landed a role in a twisted Hollywood horror film before securing her place on the ITV soap.

In 2015, she played Jennifer in Lake Placid vs. Anaconda, a horror-comedy crossover of the Anaconda film series and the Lake Placid film series.

The film’s synopsis reads: “A giant crocodile faces off against a giant anaconda.”

“The town sheriff must find a way to destroy the two monsters before they kill the entire town.”

In the film, Georgia’s character, Stephanie, strips down to a bikini as she and a group of other girls run through a forest to escape the enormous anaconda.

The 90-minute film didn’t receive the best reception, scoring only 21 out of 100 on Rotten Tomatoes.

It also only managed to reach 14 percent on the movie rating site “Popcornmeter.”

Critics called it a “made-for-cable genre film” and other critics said that everything about this film “sucks, especially the CGI.”

Georgia’s other gigs before Emmerdale included the role of Diane Vickers in the 2019 BBC drama series Giri/Haji – which only lasted one season.

She also landed minor roles in Glow and Darkness in 2021, as well as The Devil Sits on Both Shoulders in 2018.

As she joined ITV’s Emmerdale earlier this month, Georgia said: “I’m delighted to be joining the cast of Emmerdale.

“The cast and crew have all been very welcoming and I’m very excited to see what’s in store for Steph, given her intriguing story.”

So far, fans have seen Stephanie and her estranged parents, Caleb and Ruby Milligan-Fox, navigate their strained relationships on-screen.

However, while fan theories about Stephanie’s real parents swirl, it’s unclear what exactly awaits her character in the future.

What we do know is that his arrival in the Valleys will have “considerable repercussions”, according to ITV producers.
