Creedmoor Police Search for Lawn Equipment Theft Suspect

CREEDMOOR, N.C. (WNCN) – The Creedmoor Police Department is asking for help searching for a man who officers say stole lawn equipment from a landscape trailer last week.

Police said the incident happened near the intersection of Dardin Drive and Woodland Road on Oct. 18.

“The backpack blower was stolen from a landscape trailer parked on the side of the road,” according to a press release issued Friday by the Creedmoor Police Department.

Witnesses told police the suspect was a man in his 20s, of medium build, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall and with a dark complexion.

Police released video surveillance footage of the suspect vehicle, described as a white 2014-2022 Jeep Cherokee or Compass with dark tinted windows and damage to the front fender and driver’s side doors.

Detectives said the video showed the vehicle leaving the scene and heading west on Wilton Avenue, and the car was driven by a young woman.

A reward of up to $2,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects.
