Arrests made and investigation continues into vandalized political signs in Wilson County

MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WSMV) – The Mt. Juliet Police Department is investigating a handful of reports of vandalism of Trump/Vance campaign signs at various locations throughout Wilson County.

Mt. Juliet PD said it has been alerted to several incidents involving Donald Trump/JD Vance signs being cut down, spray painted or letters removed.

The documented incidents occurred at the following locations:

  • 3 signs – commercial property along N. Mt. Juliet Road near Division Street
  • 2 signs – commercial property on Lebanon Rd, near Devonshire Dr
  • 3 signs – residential property along W. Division Street
  • 1 sign – residence at Willoughby Station

The Mt. Juliet PD said two people were arrested in connection with the damaged signs.

A 16-year-old girl from Old Hickory was arrested for damaging a sign on Sept. 16 and charged with two counts of vandalism. For a damaged sign reported on October 27, a 75-year-old Hermitage man was arrested and charged.
