Dragon Ball Daima Introduces a New Senzu Bean (And It’s Not What You Expect)

Dragon Ball Daima introduced quite a few new elements into the history of the shonen franchise. In the first four episodes alone, viewers were able to take a closer look at the Demon Realm, discover a new origin of the Namekian race, and discover crazy new aspects of Shenron and the Dragon Balls. In the fourth and final episode of Dragon Ball Z sequel series, Son Goku, Kaioshin and Glorio continue their journey through the Demon Realm and encounter something the Z-Fighters did not expect. A new type of Senzu Bean has been introduced and it’s not what you think.

Warning. If you haven’t yet watched the latest episode of Dragon Ball DaimaEpisode 4, be warned we’re going to delve into some seriously spoilery territory. Senzu beans have literally saved the lives of shonen heroes throughout their battles throughout history. Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball ZAnd Dragon Ball Super. In addition to reviving a fighter’s staminaEating these magic beans can heal almost any injury and bring brawlers back to life from the brink of death. While Senzu Beans themselves often take a while to grow, usually sourced from Karin and Yajirobe, the Demon Realm has introduced a new edible that might be just as effective as its earthly cohorts, but is far more disgusting.

Demon Realm Senzu Beans

While Glorio takes Goku and Kaioshin to a small store in the Demon Realm to find a replacement for their stolen plane, Son comes across new edibles known as “Medi-Bugs”. These creepy crawlers have many characteristics as they are exceptionally varied from each other. “Join Bugs” for example allows beings to eat them and merge in the same vein as fusion dance and/or potarra earrings. As for Medi-Bugs’ version of Senzu Beans, Daima take the opportunity to immerse yourself in it.

“Revive Bugs” are the iteration of Medi-Bugs which apparently have the same properties as Senzu Beans. When someone eats one of these insects, they can regain their stamina while also being able to heal their wounds in the same way as Senzus. Although we haven’t gotten to see these Revive Bugs in action yet, Daima is already setting the stage for a battle where they will be needed.

Revive Bugs saves your life

This latest installment also further fleshed out the Dragon Balls of the Demon Realms, paving the way for what could be the greatest battle in history. Dragon Ball Daima. Unlike the earthly Dragon Balls, the Demon Dimension only has three Dragon Balls that must be collected to make a wish. Unfortunately, making a wish is easier said than done thanks to the powerful creatures that protect them. The Namekian known as Neva was the one who created these wishing orbs and also put in place the protectors known as the Tamagami to ensure that making a wish was no easy task.

Thanks to his transformation into a “first year student”, Goku struggles to maintain his fighting prowess. Although it has been shown in promotional materials that Goku can still transform into a Super Saiyan, Daima has shown that it takes him some time to get used to his new size. On top of that, the heavy air of the Demon Realm makes it difficult for the Z-Fighter to take on his opponents, meaning that the fight against the Tamagami will not be an easy victory.
