Proposals accepted for Wyoming Outdoor Recreation Summit at UW in May

Proposals for the Wyoming Outdoor Recreation Summit (WORS) next spring at the University of Wyoming are now being accepted. The deadline to submit proposals is Friday, January 31.

The UW’s WORTH (Wyoming Outdoor Recreation, Tourism, and Hospitality) initiative and the Wyoming Office of Outdoor Recreation sponsor WORS, which aims to serve the state’s outdoor recreation community with programming that is relevant, representative, and engaging.

“It’s great to bring Wyoming’s outdoor recreation community together for another conference,” said Taylor Kruger, WORS coordinator. “The 2024 event was a success and we brought together over 150 people from the Wyoming outdoor recreation community. We are excited to have the opportunity to take a deep dive into new developments in outdoor recreation.

The theme of the 2025 summit – Thursday, May 1 through Friday, May 2, at the UW’s Marion H. Rochelle Gateway Center – is “Outdoor Recreation in Wyoming Communities: Building Partnerships, Workforce Development and access to resources. The event will address and explore all three aspects of outdoor recreation through presentations, panels, discussions and breakout sessions.

To submit a proposal, click on the “Call for Proposals” link at https://forms.office.com/r/hznPHjsBQh. Ideas from all organizations, agencies and groups are welcome.
