Google Search AI Previews, which show a snapshot of information at the top of the results page, is starting to roll out in more than 100 countries and territories, the company announced Monday.

Google launched the feature for the first time in the United States in May before slowly rolling it out to other regions. Google says AI Previews will now have more than 1 billion users worldwide each month.

As part of this rollout, the company is making the feature available in more languages, including English, Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese, Portuguese, and Spanish.

Since launching AI Overviews earlier this year, Google has updated the feature to make it more useful. Earlier this month, Google launched inline links that appear directly in the text of AI previews, which it says leads to increased website traffic compared to the previous design that pulled simply the text of the sources.

Google is also using AI Overviews to grow its advertising business, as the company recently revealed. ads in AI previews will now be displayed on relevant queries for mobile users in the United States.

AI Overviews had a rocky launch after the feature provided incorrect and sometimes dangerous information to users (the feature asked users to put glue on pizzaFor example). Since then, Google has refined this feature and brought a functionality similar to its Shopping page.
