Calgary Weather: A stretch of mild weather continues for Calgary

It’s almost mid-November and so far the overall conditions have been warm and dry. This trend is not expected to change anytime soon in southern Alberta.

Thursday is shaping up to be another above-season day with a maximum temperature of 9°C this afternoon. The normal maximum at this time of November is 2°C!

Wet weather on the west side of the Rockies could make roads slippery around the British Columbia border heading into the Kootenays, but most of that precipitation is blocked by the mountains.

The most significant weather forecast for Calgary today will be clouds and calm winds. Not much to say today!

As we get to the weekend, we will start to see these temperatures start to return closer to normal, but they will remain above season through Monday.

As for conditions, it looks like it will be late Sunday when another low pressure system coming out of British Columbia could produce some evening snow showers over Calgary that could also persist into Monday, but models are a almost everywhere at this distance.

We will have a better idea of the possible precipitation we may receive by Friday.
