The 2024 NJSIAA/Xfinity Football State Championships are underway as public teams played in their quarterfinals this weekend.

The emphasis is now placed on building non-public teams.

Unlike public school categories in which seeds are generated by the United Power Rankings – a formula weighted 60 percent by the state’s traditional Power point system and 40 percent by the opponents’ strength index (OSI) – non-public tournament is ranked by a committee. .

The committee met Sunday to discuss how teams should be classified into the Non-Public A and Non-Public B categories.

These brackets, finalized by the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association on Sunday morning, remain unofficial until a 24-hour period has passed.
