    Inspection and certification provider Bureau Véritas has acquired Versatec Energy, a specialist technical consultancy company for the offshore and onshore energy industry.

    Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

    The acquisition of Versatec Energy is a strategic step for Bureau Veritas to strengthen its role as a key partner in ensuring technical compliance and managing industrial risks in the energy sector.

    This decision is part of LEAP | 28, which aims to expand its presence in the growing renewable energy sector and support the broader energy transition.

    It is also expected to strengthen the company’s capabilities in developing and managing renewable and low-carbon assets.

    The integration of Versatec Energy’s expertise will enable Bureau Veritas to expand its services in key sectors such as oil and gas, nuclear and renewable energy, as well as in emerging low-carbon technologies such as as hydrogen and carbon capture, use and storage.
