PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Newly released surveillance video shows suspects assaulting a person with a traffic drum during an illegal traffic stop. car meeting back in September.

A shot was also fired during the incident, Philadelphia police said.

It happened on 25th Street and Washington Avenue in the early morning hours of September 22.

Police say the victim confronted the crowd about the property vandalism.

That’s when the suspects attacked.

The video shows one of the suspects brandishing a gun before shooting into the air.

Numerous arrests were made in connection with the chaotic car encounters in September.

This includes the alleged organizer and a man who allegedly damaged a police car while wearing a banana suit.
