THUNDERBOLTS* star David Harbor revealed who Lewis Pullman’s “Bob” REALLY is in the film

As if Mysterio was secretly a villain in Spider-Man: Far From Home and “Agnes” was clearly intended as a cover for Agatha Harkness in WandaVisionevery comic book fan knows Lewis Pullman’s “Bob” in Love at first sight* is truly The Sentry.

Despite displaying the character’s logo in the film’s trailer, Marvel Studios continues to identify Pullman’s character only as Bob and the actor. categorically refused to reveal if he plays The Sentry in interviews.

Now the cat is officially out of the curse, thanks to Red Guardian actor David Harbour.

Speaking at D23 Brazil last weekend, the Stranger Things The star was asked about the super soldier’s relationship with Bob and replied: “Yeah, I don’t think he knows what to think about it. I mean, again, we’ll have to see how it goes with all of this.”

“I don’t think you know much about Bob/Sentry yet, so you’ll have to see what happens in this movie. I don’t want to give too much away.”

Although Harbor let this big reveal slip, it’s really no big deal and far from a spoiler. Marvel Studios is having fun playing with the mystery and intrigue surrounding Bob, but this is likely done to appeal to general audiences rather than die-hard comic book fans.

For those of you who don’t know, The Sentry is a Superman-level hero – and threat – who has a terrifying dark side called The Void. We hope the rest of the Thunderbolts don’t have to fight him in this movie, because if that happens and he’s as powerful as his comic book counterpart… well, someone will be torn in two.

You can watch the full interview below; and, in case you missed it, the four-minute D23 Love at first sight* preview can be found here.

Marvel Studios and a team of indie veterans, who have definitely sold their titles, present Love at first sight*an irreverent team-up featuring depressed assassin Yelena Belova alongside the MCU’s least expected group of misfits.

Actors confirmed for Love at first sight* include Florence Pugh as Yelena Boleva, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, David Harbor as Red Guardian, Wyatt Russell as US Agent, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, Olga Kurylenko as Taskmaster and Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine.

Geraldine Viswanathan replaced Ayo Edebiri in an undisclosed role that would now be Songbird, while Lewis Pullman took over as The Sentry following Steve Yeun’s unexpected departure from the film. He and Edebiri reportedly left due to scheduling issues.

Written by Eric Pearson, Lee Sung Jin and Joanna Calo and directed by Jake Schreier, Love at first sight* Currently scheduled to hit theaters on May 5, 2025.
