Mediacorp’s Star Search 2024 will take place live on November 24, after a five-year hiatus. Twelve young faces will compete for the title and the chance to become the next big star of Mandarin showbiz. So far, they have also had the opportunity to hone their skills through acting workshops leading up to the show. The first three will leave with a BYD car and a Mediacorp contract. CNA speaks to Star Search 2024 Executive Producer Jean Toh and Star Search 2007 Finalist Desmond Tan. They discuss this year’s edition and what viewers can expect from the final episode .
