The confession. “I killed her.” It is June 1, 2023, when Impagnatiello, 30, confesses to the crime and indicates the place – via Monte Rosa, in a recess next to some garages – where he hid her. The body is wrapped in plastic bags. Stabbed to death – the autopsy reveals the cruelty of the 37 blows – he tried to burn her twice (in the bathtub and in the garage), staged her disappearance (hiding her in the cellar, in the trunk from the garage, before getting rid of it less than 700 meters from his home) and tried to deceive the investigation.

The request for judgment

The prosecution requests immediate action. On November 3, 2023, Deputy Prosecutor Letizia Manella and Prosecutor Alessia Menegazzo requested an immediate judgment for aggravated intentional homicide, non-consensual termination of pregnancy and concealment of a corpse. The crime is premeditated as evidenced by the living room carpet moved to avoid staining it and the rat poison administered several times to the partner and also found in the fetus: this is the first weapon used (since December 2022) to kill. The murder is compounded by the cruelty, the trivial motives and the bond that united Giulia and Alessandro. The trial begins. On January 18, before the First Assize Court of Milan, presided over by judge Antonella Bertoja, the Tramontano family is present – father Franco, mother Loredana Femiano, brothers and sisters Chiara and Mario -.
