CNN commentator Ana Navarro suggested that Elon Musk took the title of “First lady” Since Melanie Trump after he appeared in a recent Trump family photo in his place.

Speaking on a panel Friday, Navarro referenced a photo of the Trump family after the president-elect‘s resounding victory in the 2024 race against Harris. Most of the family members were present, but Melania was visibly absent.

Musk, however, was standing at the front right of the photo.

This follows reports that the billionaire tech entrepreneur joins call between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky Friday – the details of which are unclear.

“I think it’s a little weird, don’t you think?” Navarro said. “I mean, Elon Musk seems to be everywhere at all times. He’s like the secretary of everything, and at the same time, he’s like the First Lady.

She continued: “The other day I saw this picture of him. It was a photo of Trump with his entire family, except Melania, but Elon Musk was there.

“There are obviously also conflicts of interest. This is someone who has contracts with the Department of Defense. It’s someone who has Starlink. This is a big part of what is happening in Ukraine.

“I find it a little weird, but like Scott (Jennings) said, they won. He can do whatever he wants. And if he wants Elon to be everywhere all the time, that’s what’s going to happen. »

Despite her absence from the family’s victory photo, Melania expressed her support for her husband following his victory, posting on X about the former first couple’s return to the White House.

“The majority of Americans have entrusted us with this important responsibility. We will safeguard the heart of our republic: freedom,” she wrote.

“I expect our nation’s citizens to recommit to each other and rise above ideology in the name of individual freedom, economic prosperity and security. American energy, skill, and initiative will bring together our best minds to propel our nation forward forever. »

For his part, Musk continued to ramp up his frenzied posts on X — the social media platform he owns — and leaned into his role as one of Trump’s biggest cheerleaders.

His participation in the call with Zelensky on Friday potentially reveals how much Trump likes him and foreshadows a possible role in his administration.

Musk also said he would continue to support Ukraine through its Starlink satellites, which have become essential to communications for Ukrainian forces on the front lines. The billionaire had previously mocked Zelensky on social media for his attempts to raise funds for his country’s war effort.
