Saoirse Ronan says Chappell Roan told her they were ‘celebrity lookalikes’

For Saoirse Ronan And Chappell Roanthe similarities aren’t limited to their names.

In the Thursday, November 7 episode of Tonight’s show, host Jimmy Fallon said the Blitz actress that “many people” compared her appearance to that of the rising pop star. He then showed Ronan, 30, a side-by-side image of the two, as well as a 2021 TikTok of Roan, which also highlighted their similarities.

Ronan confirmed that she sees a resemblance to the “Pink Pony Club” singer, 26, and revealed that the “person who made me aware” of their similarities was Roan herself.

“I became so obsessed with her over the summer, like everyone else. Her and Charli xcx. And so I went to her concert and randomly, adorable Brie Larson was there too, who I know a little. And she brought one of her friends, and afterward, her friend told her, “I’m going to go, I’m going to talk to her parents.” We were like, ‘No, you have to play it cool, we can’t let him know we love him as much as we love him,'” Ronan recalled.

“Anyway, we went and I was playing really cool,” she added. “She and Brie were talking in the corner and I was like, ‘Cool, I’ll go.’ And she called me and she said, ‘Oh, everyone says we’re the same.’ ”

Larson shared a post-concert shot with Roan and Ronan on Instagram in October, before Fallon also gave the photo airtime during her final episode. “We’re in the same room. We both exist,” Ronan joked as Fallon showed off the photo.

“But she is just incredible and I love the way she spoke about the senseless treatment she received. famous people get” she added, before calling her celebrity lookalike “the best.”

Last month, Ronan shared a shortened version of the same story speaking with Josh Horowitz on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, when she said Roan called her his “celebrity lookalike.”

“I went to a Chappell Roan concert a few weeks ago. They’ll laugh because that’s all I talk about,” Ronan said. “I met Chappell afterwards and she told me, which I really liked, that apparently everyone told her I was her celebrity lookalike.”

“That’s what I’m living on right now,” she joked. “It’s like my oxygen right now.”

The four-time Oscar nominee has been busy promoting her two new films Overtaking And Blitz in recent months. Last month she appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! where she revealed that she had auditioned for the role of Luna Lovegood in the Harry Potter franchise.

“There are things that you pass on, and then they come out and you think, ‘Oh, my God, that was a misstep on my part,’” Ronan said. “But I think the one that stuck with me over the years was: I didn’t say no, I just didn’t get the part. I lost again; that’s a recurring theme for me .”

“But I went looking for Luna Lovegood in Harry Potter “Years ago,” she added during the Oct. 3 interview. “Because it was like the Irish character, so they brought in all the Irish, like half of Ireland, to audition.”

As Ronan explained, she knew she was “too young” for the role, which was ultimately given, but she was still “able to read a scene that was going to take place in Harry Potterand it was the coolest thing ever.”
