Armie Hammer had a vasectomy for his 38th birthday, thanks to his own mother.

On Monday, November 11, the 38-year-old actor was joined by his mother, Dru Hammer, on an episode of The Armie HammerTime Podcast. In part two of the mother-son interview, Dru suggests, “Let’s talk about what I got you for your birthday this year.”

She continues to explain: “I call Armie and I say, ‘Armie, what would you like for your birthday this year?’ And he goes, ‘I don’t know, maybe money, whatever .” And I was like, “I think I’m going to give you a vasectomy.”

Armie then returns to detail his experience at the doctor’s office: “I go to the doctor and I say, ‘I’m here to schedule a vasectomy,'” Hammer recalls, adding that he was then asked to fill out various paperwork. and consult a doctor.

“He said to me, ‘Are you sure you want to do this?’ I say to myself, “I have two beautiful children. I don’t want any more children. I’m ready to go,’” Hammer says, referring to his daughter Harper, 9, and son Ford, 7, whom he shares with ex-wife Elizabeth Chambers.

“They try to talk you out of it. I’m like, ‘You’re not going to talk me out of it.’ I finished. I’m doing well.'”

Following the consultation, Armie was asked to pay for the procedure, which led to a very awkward interaction with the receptionist.

When asked if he would pay through insurance or a credit card, Armie told the woman, “My mom is going to call you and she’s going to pay for it.”

“She was looking down and she (looked up) and said, ‘What?’ And I say, ‘Yeah, my mom gave me that as a birthday present,'” Hammer continued. “It was just one of those things where you could tell she heard something and say, ‘I’ve never heard of it, what are you talking about?’ So yes, my mother gave me a vasectomy for my birthday.

Dru added, “Yeah, I’m not stupid!”
