Leaders at Pius XI Catholic High School in Milwaukee say their building was vandalized with threatening graffiti.

In a letter to parents, school leaders said they chose to cancel school “due to the disruptive nature of the incident.”

School leaders called Milwaukee police, who are investigating. MPD officers also remain on campus. Students who came to school had their bags searched Monday morning.

Students who drove to school were free to leave on their own. Bus routes have been rearranged to bring students back. Students who need to be picked up have been asked to wait for their parents in the sports complex. parents who are unable to collect their child are asked to email [email protected].

Any student staying at school will have their bag searched. These students are asked to stay in the Union where school staff can monitor them until a parent can pick them up.
