Fatal Andrews suspect charged with murder after Sunday morning search, police say

GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – An early morning shooting in Andrews left one person dead and one person arrested.

The Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office responded around 1 a.m. to the area of Shaw’s Corner Store, 1004 Martin Luther King Drive in Andrews, for a report of a man shot in the upper torso.

The man was transported to an area hospital where he died in the emergency room.

Hezekiah Wilson, 24, is being held at the Georgetown County Detention Center and charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

Charges against Wilson are pending.
