What they’re saying about Penn State football nationally ahead of Purdue

State of Pennsylvania got the bounce back he was looking for after losing to Ohio State.

The Nittany Lions crushed Washington, 35-6, in the annual White Out. Every aspect seemed to be back on track, with a 7-of-7 third-down performance in the first half for the offense and an overall dominant defensive day. They have a struggling Purdue team this week on the road.

The latest edition of the College Football Playoff rankings will be released Tuesday night, where the Nittany Lions will likely advance after losses to Georgia and Miami. Regardless, based on last week’s initial rankings, the committee clearly likes Penn State. The Lions were No. 6, in the running to host a playoff game assuming everything goes well down the stretch.

As we all wait for the next ruling, find out what’s happening in Happy Valley here.
