Gabriel Macht is back for Suits LA, and he celebrated Harvey Specter in the most fashion

THE next LA Suits is finally taking shape, and the show is expected to arrive mid-season during the TV schedule 2025. Various questions have swirled around the Stephen Amell-directed legal drama. Among those questions is whether any of the main characters from the OG series might appear. Well, now we know that at least one familiar face is in the mix, as Gabriel Macht reprises his fan-favorite role as Harvey Specter. With that, Macht celebrated the news in the most spectacular way possible.

Longtime fans will surely be happy to learn that the veteran actor’s role in Suits the ramification will not be punctual. According to Deadline Gabriel Macht will appear in a recurring role, with his character Harvey appearing in three episodes of the NBC show. Specific details on Specter’s exact role in the narrative have yet to be released. At the very least, it appears the character’s sense of style will remain unchanged. This is the idea we get from the video that Macht just published on Instagram:

Just the sight of that monogram cuff and sleek shoes is clearly enough to get fans excited. At the time of writing these lines, the Good Shepherd A former student’s post garnered more than 90,000 likes in about an hour. Overall, it’s exciting to know that Harvey is set to return after the final season of the original series, which ended after nine seasons on USA Network in 2019. It also makes sense that the character appears, as it is a solid way to maintain continuity between the two shows.

People surely also noticed the disturbing tease suggested by the caption. The actor said: “When an old friend is in need… it’s time to take care of things and make them right.” This phrase could probably be interpreted in multiple ways, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it kept the rumor mill spinning for a while. At the very least, though, it appears that New York-based Specter could eventually be called to Los Angeles to provide assistance.

This big news follows Gabriel Macht talks about his need to be away of his famous character following the conclusion of the OG series. He also suggested that he has no interest in playing the role again anytime soon. Now in the light of Macht THERE casting, I can’t help but wonder if his comments were meant as intentional misdirection or if he simply changed his mind.

Essentially born from the parent show’s Netflix boom in 2023, Suitable for Los Angeles first look was revealed last summer, since the pilot was filmed in the spring. At the time, fans were treated to a photo of Stephen Amell’s character, Ted Black. Production on the first season just started this week, with Amell clean shaven sharing some behind-the-scenes information for fans. What we know about the series so far is that it will focus on Ted, who, after recently reinventing himself, seeks to become a power player in the world of law based in Los Angeles. And, if Black turns out to have an ego as big as Specter’s, it could be fun to potentially see them interact.

As cool as Harvey’s return is, we now also have to wonder whether or not other OGs from the franchise might also appear. Mike Ross actor Patrick J. Adams recently opened up about the possibility and said he was “eager and excited to get back out into the world” and “put the suit back on” if the opportunity seemed right. Time will tell if Mike, Donna Paulsen (who married Harvey) and others show up but, for now, let’s be happy that at least one franchise veteran is returning.

LA Suits premieres on NBC on Sunday, February 23 at 9 p.m. ET. In the meantime, stream all nine seasons of its parent show and witness the exploits of Harvey Specter with the help of a Netflix subscription.
