• Inaugurates the 8th Pakistan Industrial Expo at the Lahore Expo Center, which will continue until November 12, 2024

LAHORE: Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider highlighted the importance of Pakistan Industrial Expo as a critical platform to accelerate industrial development, boost trade and strengthen global economic ties, stressing that this exhibition is a testament to Pakistan’s commitment to industrial progress and international cooperation.

Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider was speaking during the inauguration of the 8th Pakistan Industrial Expo at the Exhibition Center in Lahore. The exhibition brought together a distinguished range of academic and technology companies from various industry sectors.

Organized by Everest International Expo Pvt Ltd, this year’s exhibition aims to foster collaboration, innovation and sustainable growth within Pakistan’s industrial landscape.

In his inaugural address, the governor spoke of the deep-rooted friendship between Pakistan and China, describing it as “deeper than the sea and higher than the Himalayas”, stressing that events like this would further strengthen these links. He further noted that the participation of academia in such initiatives would help steer industrial development in the right direction.

The event was also attended by eminent academic personalities including Vice-Chancellor of Sargodha University Dr. Qaiser Abbas, Vice-Chancellor of Punjab University Dr. Muhammad Ali Shah and Vice Chancellor of the University of Education, Dr. Akif Anwar Chaudhry.

They highlighted the importance of collaboration between academia and industry to foster research, innovation and workforce development. Their presence highlighted the growing link between education and industry in Pakistan’s economic development.

The 8th edition of Pakistan Industrial Expo features a wide range of exhibits, with a focus on advancing innovation in manufacturing, technology and sustainable industrial practices. The sectors featured include CNC machines, mechanical equipment, industrial components, automobile and motorcycle parts and accessories, hardware tools, construction and decoration, and renewable energy.

Leading international companies, especially in the CNC sector, exhibit their cutting-edge technologies and machines.

The event will run until November 12, 2024 and is expected to attract more than 130 international exhibitors, as well as a significant number of industry professionals, business leaders and students.
