“Nigerians will witness real changes before 2027”: FCT Minister Wike raises hope

FCT, AbujaThe Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has urged Nigerians to remain patient in the face of rising prices, assuring them that ongoing reforms under the President Bola Tinubu will produce tangible results by the end of the administration’s first term in 2027.

Wike made the statement on Thursday, November 21, during an inspection of road and bridge projects in Gwagwalada Area Council.

He spoke with journalists about the government’s commitment to improving infrastructure as a foundation for long-term economic growth.

His words:

“The price of goods continues to rise, but this road project is part of the solution.

“Without infrastructure, it is difficult to reduce costs. When the roads are completed, farmers will have better access, which will help bring down prices.”

Wike stressed that infrastructure is key to economic recovery, both for the city and rural areas, stressing that its lack has been one of Abuja’s historical problems.

Wike stressed that the administration’s focus on infrastructure expansion will ultimately boost economic growth by opening rural areas to more opportunities.

Wike acknowledged the constant criticism of government’s progress, but reassured the public that they would witness positive changes in due course.

“Before this administration completes its first term, Nigerians will witness real change.

“Just as you can see that Abuja has changed, you will also see changes in the country as a whole.”

Wike highlighted the impact of recent infrastructure projects, such as the Aguma Palace road and the road to Radio Nigeriawhich he said had already brought joy to local residents and business owners.

“When people see positive impacts, they rejoice. Now they can feel the presence of the government working for them,” he added.
