OpenAI unveiled its search engine, SearchGPT, in its ChatGPT artificial intelligence platform last week. The company has since rolled out a Chrome plugin that allows your default search engineso I spent the whole weekend only using ChatGPT for research.

Over the past few months, I swapped between Perplexitywhich works similarly to ChatGPT Search, and Google by default. I usually go back to Google just because it makes it easier to find specific websites rather than just information. It wasn’t a problem with ChatGPTand I may have turned to Google once or twice to check a ChatGPT answer.
