    Although online shopping had a negative impact on Black Friday shopping, physical stores in Erie will be open to shoppers looking for the best deals.

    Black Friday gets its name from the 1950s, according to History.comas Philadelphia police described the chaos and madness that took place among shoppers the day after Thanksgiving.

    Fast forward to 2024, and you’ll often find shoppers queuing outside mall entrances, ready to race to get the best deals.

    This begs the question: when do area stores open on Black Friday?

    THE Millcreek Mall opens its doors on November 29 from 6 a.m. Black Friday at the mall will end at 9 p.m.

    Furniture stores on Black Friday

    Erie’s major furniture stores will be open for Black Friday.

    Buyers will be able to enter Walmart starting at 6 a.m. on Black Friday.

    JCPenny, Kohl’s and Macy’s on Black Friday
