Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s Homes: Here’s Where One of the Highest-Paid Actors of All Time Owns Property

It’s unclear exactly when The Rock purchased a 9,120 square foot mansion in Hidden Hills, California, but he sold in 2012 for $4.9 million. The facade of the six-bedroom, seven-bathroom home featured both Mediterranean and neoclassical elements. Inside, a huge foyer with an intricate chandelier greeted guests at the front door. Key highlights included a master bedroom with an elegant black fireplace and ample space for lounging; a cinema room; a chef’s kitchen with stainless steel appliances; and a personalized home gym. The house offered views of the Hollywood Hills, a kitchen equipped with a barbecue, and an infinity pool and spa perched on the edge of a cliff.

European palatial excavations

In 2018, while The Rock was filming the Fast and Furious spin-off Hobbs and Shaw on the other side of the Atlantic in London, the actor rented a sumptuous residence in the upscale Richmond district of southwest London. On the three-acre property was a grand neoclassical mansion with five parlors, staff quarters, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and a tennis court, all on a lakefront. There was enough space on the estate for The Rock to set up the fully equipped mobile gym he called Iron Paradise. Johnson also entertained a visitor during his stay: a horse called Rusty that Russell Crowe rode Gladiator And Robin Hood.

Ranch in Georgia

The lover of country life has given up $9.5 million (would have been in cash) on another farm in 2019, this time in a pastoral Georgia town called Powder Springs, located 45 minutes from Atlanta. The 46-acre horse farm included a 12-stall barn and riding arena, a 150-year-old farmhouse that served as a caretaker’s house, and a 14,791-square-foot main house. Built in 2002, the eight-bedroom, six-bathroom main house resembled a French country manor and featured a partial stone facade, walnut wood floors throughout the interior, wood-beamed ceilings, stone fireplaces and marble bathrooms. The home also included a paneled library with stained glass windows and a custom wine cellar. Surrounding the mansion was a free-form saltwater pool with a cabana and a large pond. The father of three set it up for sale at $7.5 million, or $1.5 million less than he paid, after only about a year of ownership, although it doesn’t appear the place sold and it is no longer on the market.

Beverly Hills Family Home

In 2021, The Rock would have spent $27.8 million for the largest estate in North Beverly Park. The 3.67-acre property in the celebrity-filled community (Sofia Vergara and Denzel Washington live there), considered one of Hollywood’s most exclusive residential neighborhoods, and boasts a star pedigree. Johnson paid Stranger Things actor Paul Reiser for the Mediterranean-style home built in 1993 by the drummer Alex Van Halen of the legendary rock band Van Halen. Six bedrooms and 12 bathrooms are spread across a 2,500-square-foot main house and guest house, totaling nearly 17,630 square feet of living space. The estate’s amenities rival any luxury resort with a full-size tennis court, baseball field, elevator, movie theater, music studio built by Van Halen, indoor and outdoor pools, a driveway lined with olive trees leading to a car parking lot and a fully equipped gym (would it be a Dwayne Johnson house if it didn’t have a gym?). Johnson, his wife and children currently use it as their primary residence.
