Trooper Steve on patrol meets Zelda and Hilda at Orange County Animal Services

ORANGE COUNTY, Florida. – We found Zelda and Hilda a home!

Adopting a shelter animal isn’t just about finding a four-legged friend; it’s about giving them a second chance at life. Today I want to introduce you to two remarkable dogs who embody all the love that senior pets have to offer.

Meet Zelda (A557432) and Hilda (A557433). These two aged girls, estimated between 8 and 10 years old, recently joined the shelter family. They were found wandering a neighborhood together – calm, quiet and inseparable.

Their story is a mystery. Were they abandoned? Victims of the storm? We may never know. But what we do know is that they deserve a loving forever home.

Here’s what makes them so special:

  • Inseparable bond: Zelda and Hilda are always side by side. They snuggle together on their shared bed, never argue over meals or treats, and love to soak up the sun, always as a couple.

  • Sweet and kind: The two dogs charmed staff and volunteers with their affectionate nature. They get along well with other dogs and thrive on human companionship.

Senior dogs like Zelda and Hilda are often neglected, but they have so much love to give. They are calm, loyal and ready to be the perfect addition to your family.

Today’s live stream will feature these extraordinary women, so tune in to learn more about their personalities and see them in action.

Remember, when you adopt, you’re not only changing an animal’s life, you’re also enriching your own.

News 6 viewer Rhonda saw their story on News 6 and arrived at the shelter to adopt the girls just as we were finishing today’s stream at 10 a.m.
