Eric Bischoff donates entire MLW salary to charity, without seeking a full-time return

Eric Bischoff is using his upcoming MLW appearance for a good cause.

Bischoff recently spoke with Ryan Gaydos for FOX News about his upcoming appearance at MLW One-Shot on December 5. He will be in charge of the show, born after the actor-turned-wrestler Paul Walter Hauser introduced it during a recent podcast appearance.

Bischoff says MLW owner Court Bauer tried to negotiate an appearance fee, but Bischoff wouldn’t do it. Instead, he chose to donate his salary to the Tunnel to the Towers Foundationan organization that provides mortgage-free housing to Gold Star families and families of deceased first responders.

“One of the things I said right away (to the court) was that it’s not about money. He started negotiating my fee and I really didn’t care, I just said whatever it is, I’m going to donate it to Tunnel to Towers,” Bischoff said. “So it doesn’t matter and I don’t want to negotiate it. I just want whatever it is to be given because I’m not doing this for the money. I do it for fun.

Eric Bischoff not attempting a full-time return

Eric Bischoff says he tried to work with Bauer over the years, but nothing came of it. Now that One-Shot is coming, he does it for fun and doesn’t think about anything other than a one-off appearance.

“I don’t even think about it. One of the things I told Court is that for me to do anything in wrestling now, it has to be fun. If it’s not fun for me, if it’s just a job or if it’s just a paycheck, I’m really not that interested,” Bischoff added. “When it comes to getting back into wrestling, my first priority is that it’s fun. If it’s not fun, I’m not interested.

Bischoff also cited living in Wyoming and having to fully commit to a job as reasons he would stay away. It’s difficult for him to imagine a full-time return (and very unlikely), but anything is possible if all goes well.
