Outlook for the Jaguars against the best team in the League

The Jacksonville Jaguars continued to lose as the season deteriorated. They have lost three games in a row and four of their last five.

Even though the Jaguars have been more competitive of late, they remain among the worst teams in the National Football League. No matter how well they play, the Jaguars team is not equipped to win consistently in today’s NFL.

Already 2-7 this season, the Jaguars play for pride more than anything else. Pride will certainly be on the line as the Lions are favored to win by double digits against a team that has lost six games by seven points or fewer.

USA TODAY’s Lorenzo Reyes predicts the Lions will win 27-10. Reyes notes the fact that the Lions will strive to play better than last week after a close victory.

“Yeah, that line is huge,” Reyes said. “But Detroit plays complete football, winning games even when its starting quarterback throws five picks. I expect Jared Goff to be much better and I expect the Lions to clean up a lot of things.”

USA TODAY’s Tyler Dragon also thinks the Lions will win by double digits. He predicts a double-digit victory for the Lions, 30-16. Dragon notes that the Lions are simply the better overall team.

“Jared Goff threw a career-high five interceptions, but the Lions still managed to win,” Dragon said. “It’s a testament to the entire Lions football team. Expect a better performance from Goff against a shaky Jacksonville team. Doug Pederson is another coach with a shaky professional status.”

USA TODAY’s Richard Morin essentially believes the Jaguars have no chance of beating the Lions. He predicts the Lions will win by more than three touchdowns, 35-9.

“What a disappointment in a season in Jacksonville. Hey, maybe Travis Hunter will help,” Morin said.

USA TODAY’s Jordan Mendoza predicts a similar resultthe Lions winning 35-7.

“The only question in this game is if – and when – Dan Campbell decides to take his foot off the gas pedal.” » said Mendoza. “This one will be a laugh as Detroit easily wins its eighth straight victory.”
