Mercedes offers dealers up to $3,000 for every electric vehicle sold

Mercedes now pays dealers up to $3,000 for every electric vehicle sold through the end of the year. As part of its new Q4 2024 EQ Sales Challenge, the company is giving dealers a good reason to remove electric vehicles from the lot.

Mercedes now pays dealers for electric vehicle sales

The luxury brand is struggling to gain traction in the U.S. electric vehicle market this year, with sales classes EQE, EQB and EQS, all down double digits through September.

Mercedes is looking to change things up with a new dealer incentive to boost electric vehicle sales. According to an online vehicle research company CarsDirectMercedes pays dealers up to $3,000 for each electric vehicle sold.

Now through January 2, 2025, Mercedes is hosting its EQ Sales Challenge for Q4 2024. The program allows dealers to earn $2,000 on almost any 2024 EV model they sell while meeting their monthly goals.

Dealers who meet their goals can earn an additional $1,000 on each sale, up to $3,000 per electric vehicle. Although the bonus is aimed at dealers, buyers can also save money with new incentives to boost sales.

Mercedes is offering $7,500 in electric vehicle lease bonus and a loyalty bonus of up to $5,000. On select models, like the high-performance AMG EQS, a $7,500 lease bonus and $15,000 incentive offer up to $22,500 in savings.

Including incentives, lease prices are listed as low as $419 per month for the 2024 Mercedes EQB 250+ SUV. The EQB model starts at $53,050.

More affordable models will be arriving soon. Mercedes teases her next CLA EV at a lower price before its official debut. CEO Ola Källenius took a first test drive with the new electric vehicle at its Immendingen site this week, revealing new design details like the three-point headlights.

The new model will be the first in a new family of Mercedes models. The CLA EV opens “a new chapter for the entry-level segment at Mercedes-Benz,” the company said. It is expected to be unveiled next year with deliveries in 2026.
