Dan Orlovsky burned so many calories crushing bears while handling Caleb Williams

Sunday can’t come soon enough to Chicago Bear because they will then have the opportunity to change their speech with a victory over the Green Bay Packers. Right now, the existing school of thought is that the franchise has wasted the Caleb Williams era to a staggering degree in just nine games. The Bears fired offensive coordinator Shane Waldron earlier in the week, but that only caused them to appear in more focused TV segments. that it was all a waste.

Get up continued to hammer them again Thursday morning, where former NFL quarterback Dan Orlovsky agreed with host Mike Greenberg that it was a total organizational disaster.

Orlovsky started by asking Adam Schefter if there were, in fact, conversations about sitting Williams while they try to figure this thing out in favor of replacement Tyson Bagent. Hearing Schefter confirm that there had been conversations like that to some extent, Orlovksy covered his eyes and rubbed his temples like a parent trying to get their kids ready for school on a morning particularly trying.

He then stood up and looked towards the sky, his arms outstretched at the prospect of hearing all this information.

“What if Chicago, you trained him?” Orlovsky asked rhetorically. “Instead of brushing it aside and sweeping the issue under the rug. Chicago thinks they’re dating Caleb Williams. You’re married to him, okay?

“When the going gets tough, the tough get going,” he added. “Who’s the toughest in the building? You coach them on that stuff. You say ‘we’ll get through this together.'”

It’s a very passionate take of a very animated person who did a lot of blocking on set. But it’s worth pointing out that the Bears didn’t bench him and the the report in question indicated that it was veterans of the team who presented the idea to management.. So Chicago could effectively do whatever Orlovsky implores them to do, even if someone had written an article about something that could have happened but didn’t.

Saying everyone needs to take a deep breath isn’t good content, but maybe we’re at that point with the Bears. Despite all these struggles, they are not out of the playoff race and Williams has played all nine games behind an atrocious offensive line. There is good reason to believe that, organizationally, the franchise will fail to leverage its immense talent to achieve significant victories over the next few years, and it is entirely too early to proclaim that the The sky has already fallen.
