Showtime released the first trailer for its upcoming dark political thriller series The Agencywhich takes place in the world of covert operations and undercover agents. This looks like a great series and I can’t wait to watch it.

The story follows “a world of even deeper intrigue and subterfuge, with characters fighting their own battles as they grapple with existential threats to the nation and the world.”

Michael Fassbender stars in the series as a “secret CIA agent who is ordered to abandon his life of undercover and return to London Station. When the love he left behind reappears, romance is reborn.

“His career, his true identity and his mission clash with his heart; throwing them both into a deadly game of international intrigue and espionage.

The series also boasts a great supporting cast including Jeffrey Wright, Jodie Turner Smith, Catherine Waterston, John Magaro, Alex Reznik, Andrew Brooke, Harriet Sansom Harris, India Fowler, Saura Lightfoot-Leon, Reza Brojerdi, And Richard Geré.

The Agency was created and written by brothers Jez And John Henry Butterworth who are both writers of Fair game, Edge of tomorrow, Ford vs. FerrariAnd Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.

The series is based on the original French series titled The Legends Office created by Eric Rochant. Showtime will debut the series on November 29, 2024.
