What’s the problem?

The Baseus Nomos 5-in-1 Charging Station is available for $128 (save $22.50) at Baseus Or Amazon in advance Black Friday (it’s 15% off). Additionally, with a purchase from either retailer you will receive a Free2Pull Retractable USB-C Charging Cable (a value of $22).

ZDNET Key Takeaways

  • Baseus Nomos 5-in-1 140W Charging Station can quickly charge up to five devices at once and transform your office into a productivity powerhouse.
  • The Nomos Charger reduces cords and clutter and can easily replace a wireless charger, USB-C multi-charger, and other cords like laptop and phone chargers.
  • Its innovative features make it easy to track the output and charging of your devices, but if you’re looking for something with a smaller profile or just don’t need extra ports, wireless chargers or multi-chargers smaller ones may be your best choice.

Gamers, work-from-home employees, and those who appreciate good innovation come together. Baseus has just simplified tabletop loading in such a seamless and functional way that it’s hard not to overlook the ingenious design.

THE Baseus Nomos 5-in-1 Charger is a desktop charging option that consolidates popular charging options into one convenient solution and reduces cable clutter, which is both annoying and ugly to look at. Although it seems like it’s just a black box, it’s definitely not Pandora. Quite the contrary, in reality. Adding it to my desk setup quickly evaporated my need for a wireless charger, extra cables, and a multi-charger.

The Nomos 5-in-1 140W Charger includes a 15W flip-out MagSafe Qi2 wireless charger, a built-in display, a 100W retractable USB-C cable, and three ports: two USB-C and one USB-A. More information on these features soon.

It costs $150 at Baseus And Amazonwhich seems like a lot, but when you consider the value it offers and the fact that many other wireless charging options easily exceed $100, it’s actually a great buy. Anker’s Foldable 3-in-1 MagSafe Charger sells for $110, and while I love this portable charger, it doesn’t have a retractable cord, extra ports, or digital display.

I first discovered the Nomos 5-in-1 station at a Baseus launch event in New York and was immediately impressed by the amount of features packed into this tech rectangle. Now that I’ve got my hands on it, let’s get back to the cool stuff.

On the left side of the Nomos charger is a MagSafe wireless charger that can be used overhead to charge a phone in a supported position or flat for non-MagSafe technologies. It supports 15W wired charging and Qi2 for wireless charging. Overall, it charged my iPhone 14 Pro comfortably and securely, and I like that the stand offers vertical and horizontal adjustment.

Just below that is a 3.3-foot 100W USB-C cable that retracts into the device itself. It locks at four different lengths so you can have the perfect cord length for all your needs, meaning you’ll never have to worry about loose cords or cord-wrestling contraptions again.

I find this cable to be the star of this charger because it is a universal cord that stores quickly to avoid desk clutter. It even snaps back into place magnetically, meaning it doesn’t just limp off the base. Plus, a 100W cord is certainly enough to charge most USB-C compatible devices, including many laptops (like my M3 MacBook Pro). As someone who regularly tests MagSafe batteries, this cord has been a lifesaver in powering the test units during the day without any issues.

Opposite the retractable cable are two USB-C ports and one USB-A port, for charging any other device you want (you must provide the cord). It’s just above these ports that the magic happens. The Nomos 5-in-1 station has a real-time display of the charging status of your devices.

Since the unit can handle 140W at a time and you can charge multiple times, Baseus has made it easy to track your device’s charging progress. This component itself is worth its weight in money, at least in my opinion, and few competitors offer such a feature on the table, especially at this price point.

After a few weeks of testing, my only complaint is that I wish there was a white color option to blend in better with my desk and decor, and that’s really nitpicky.

ZDNET’s purchasing advice

If you need a convenient, fast and reliable desktop charger to reduce your desk clutter or simplify your system, look no further than Baseus Nomos 5-in-1 Charger. It offers cutting-edge features, like a display system, retractable USB-C and 15W Qi2 charging, plus organized and reliable charging access for all your devices and accessories whenever you need them .

I think this would be a great addition to work from home or gaming setups, as well as home offices, college dorms, etc. While it’s not the most portable option available, you can also pack it for certain travel situations.

The Baseus Nomos Charger is truly a meticulously designed, highly functional multi-charger that is well worth the price. What’s better, though, is that you can get it on sale now before the holidays as a gift for you or a loved one.
