Isabel May has landed the role in the upcoming revamped slasher sequel.

Scream 7 turns into a Prescott family affair.

The revamped sequel to the slasher franchise will introduce the daughter of Neve CampbellIt’s Sidney Prescott. Isabel May, an actress Yellow stone fallout 1883 And 1923got the role, Weekly Entertainment learned.

This development comes after Patrick Dempsey confirmed “there was a conversation” about he returns to play Mark Kincaidwho is Sidney’s husband in the most current timeline of the films. His casting, however, is not official. “I’m waiting for the script,” the actor told the show Today show in October. “I haven’t seen anything yet, so we’ll see what happens,” he added.

When Campbell’s Sidney first appears on screen in 2022 Shoutwhich marked a major overhaul of the franchise, the character was seen jogging with a stroller while receiving a call from Dewey (David Arquette). However, the public did not get to see her child, who will apparently have grown up by then. Scream 7 arrived.

May is known for playing Elsa Dutton, the main character and narrator of both Yellow stone prequel series. She also recently appeared in the film Airbenders.

The cast continues to strengthen Scream 7 in preparation for a theatrical release in 2026. Courtney Cox is also in talks to reprise his role as Gale Weathersbut its casting is not cemented. Campbell notably did not make an appearance in the filming of New York in 2023 Scream VI on a salary disputebut after the studio fired the franchise’s new main star, Melissa Barrerafor sharing posts on social media about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, followed by the departure of Jenna Ortega, Campbell came back into the conversation.

Kevin Williamson, the screenwriter of Shout, Scream 2And Scream 4will now lead Scream 7which is written by Guy Busick from 2022 Shout And Scream VI.

The next sequel is scheduled to release on February 27, 2026.
