Jerry Jones thinks Cowboys coaching situation is ‘exaggerated’ by outside noise

If it’s all inclusive for the Dallas Cowboysthen this franchise needs to re-examine what the term all-in-one actually means. Yes, injuries have come to the fore this season, putting the Cowboys in a difficult situation. Monday night’s loss to the Houston Texans saw the team lose even more talent with Zack Martin and Tyler Smith.

Yet this team was well beyond any backup before Monday night. Usually, when a team is playing this poorly, the conversation turns to a coaching change. Many believe Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy is on the verge of death. However, owner Jerry Jones doesn’t see it that way.

Jones thinks McCarthy’s disappearance as Cowboys head coach is overblown, saying “‘Yes, I do.’

Jones even added: “Everyone is certainly disappointed. But it’s a big difference (to) not know that you have to put one foot in front of the other and go.

Regardless of what Jones really thinks, McCarthy doesn’t have a contract after this season. Something tells me that if this team continues to move in the direction they are, McCarthy won’t be back next season.

Jones is protective of his head coach, which should be respected. However, everyone in the front office and on the sidelines knows a change will come sooner rather than later.
