Kamala Harris, former communications director, wants Biden to resign

He insisted it would open an easier path for the next woman trying to become president.

Kamala Harris’ former communications director Jamal Simmons thinks Joe Biden should step aside to nominate Harris as the 47th president.

According to Politico, Simmons made his point on CNN’s “State Of The Union” on November 10.. Noting that Biden is being called a “transitional figure,” Simmons explained how he could establish it by giving up power to Harris during his final months as president.

“Joe Biden has been a phenomenal president. He kept many of the promises he made. He has one promise left that he can keep: to be a transitional figure,” Simmons said on the news commentary program.

If Biden heeded Simmons’ suggestion, Harris would become the first female president of the United States. Additionally, it would allow the vice president to not have to see Trump assume this role after his defeat. Trump won the election on November 6 after the former president secured several battleground states, win later all.

Simmons added: “He could resign the presidency in the next 30 days and make Kamala Harris president of the United States. He could relieve her of overseeing the January 6 transition to her own defeat.”

Although Simmons has stated her argument, Harris has not publicly or apparently suggested that she wants this to happen. Despite this, the political commentator continues to believe that this bold move would “change the perspective” of Democrats. He also said people want drama and transparency from the party.

“It would dominate the news at a time when Democrats need to learn drama, transparency and doing the things we want to see in public.” This is the time for us to change the perspective of how Democrats operate,” he shared.

The “Trailblazer” podcaster doubled down on his sentiments on social media. He insisted it would open an easier path for the next woman trying to become president.

“This would turn the tables on Trump, prevent Kamala from presiding on January 6, and make it easier for the next woman to run,” he wrote.
