Pennsylvania radio host weighs in on Jason Kelce incident at Penn State: ‘He can’t attack people’s phones’

Many have shared their reactions after an incident involving former Philadelphia Eagles star Jason Kelce at Penn State’s football game this week. And a Philadelphia sports radio personality recently shared his own thoughts.

Videos recorded by fans show Kelce walking outside State College Stadium, where someone approached him and shouted a homophobic slur about Kelce’s brother, Travis.

In the video of the incident, Kelce is seen grabbing someone’s phone and throwing it on the sidewalk, then picking it up and walking away with it.

It’s unclear from the videos whether the person Kelce threw the phone at was the same person who yelled the slur, but Kelce clearly believed him, responding with “who’s the (expletive) now?”

The incident continued when this same person pushed Kelce to the ground.

All of this prompted radio and podcast host Jon Marks to share his thoughts on the incident on his X account.

“Kelce needs to realize that his profile is bigger than it ever was as a player,” Marks said in his post on the social media site. “He’s making big $$$ on multiple platforms and his brother could marry the biggest pop star of all time.”

Marks went on to say that Kelce “can’t attack people’s phones.” He needs security to deal with this (expletive).

Considering the former Eagles center was ultimately pushed to the ground during that incident, the idea of providing personal safety doesn’t seem unwarranted.

Although the incident involved both a damaged phone and a physical altercation, it is unclear at this point whether there will be any legal consequences for either party.

When asked for comment, a response from Penn State University’s police and public safety spokesperson said “the process is ongoing” regarding an investigation.
